Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition Reference
This reference is under construction! I expect to gradually add content over the next year. This is just a hobby for me, so I apologize for the incomplete state. If you prefer, come back in July 2025; I should be done by then!
Welcome to a simple Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition reference. These pages are an updated guide through version 2.6.6.0. All content has been verified via my own playthrough.
Here are a few simple ground rules:
- "tt" is short for "talk to;" recommended dialog choices are in brackets, e.g. [2,1]
- What is NOT documented:
- Mundane loot (e.g. dagger, helmet)
- The raiding of chests, barrels, etc. unless there is significant loot to be had
- "Flavor NPCs"
- Random monsters
- "Hi rxn" is short for "high reaction score." It equals 10 + your reaction adjustment, which is listed on your character sheet under Information. This adjustment is calculated using your reputation and charisma. Some situations and rewards change based on this score.
- "Reputation traps" will not be documented. If your reputation gets low you are likely to be attacked on site in most towns.
- An area-by-area path will be suggested (top link of Menu), but is not required. You can always jump to an area by using the Area list (link in the Menu).
- As a reference, most of this info is a spoiler. Severe spoilers will be hidden but can be seen on a computer by hovering or on a phone by tapping:
- Other formatting will help identify quests, useful items, companions, important foes, and evil acts. Quest names will be followed by the step number for that quest / total number of steps, e.g. buy bolts An Errand for Fuller 2/3.
- "Evil" acts are defined as compared to real life, e.g. stealing something from another person's chest is "evil."
If you are a first-time player, you may want to look over the pre-game tips article.
